Vintage 9ct gold Viking ship brooch

Dating back to 1965, this solid, heavy, 9ct gold brooch was made by Shetland Jewellery in Scotland. Their designs are inspired by Scandinavian mythology and this one is a Viking ship, sail up and shields in place.

Personally, I would wear this brooch as an extender to a heavy chain (see pictures) but it can be worn however you like. 

With some minor sings of wear, the pin still works very well and stays in place, nice and secure (chains not included).
