Hi, I'm Mark (he/him)
My surname is a tricky one to pronounce, but if you break it down phonetically, it's very close to 'Bait & Duck'.
I bought my first piece of jewellery with my pocket money on a family holiday, age five. It was a brass, beaded necklace and I can still vividly recall the joy I got from it. Sadly, around this time I also became aware that it wasn't widely accepted for boys to wear jewellery. So for a long time I appreciated it from a distance, only wearing what was considered 'appropriate' for me to wear.
Fast forward to my 20s and I started to appreciate jewellery for the art it is. My collection grew and so did my confidence to wear it. I'm now passionate about encouraging everyone to be comfortable in their own skin and wear whatever brings them that same joy I felt when I was five.
Jewellery tells a story and everyone deserves to wear theirs proudly!
