Victorian gilt metal life buoy compass

Thos Victorians loved symbolism and this is such a great example of that. A compass for guidance and direction, a life buoy for safety and security and a four leaf clover for good luck and fortune. All rolled up nicely into a gilt metal pendant.

Naturally the gilding has become worn with age, giving tons of beautiful character, and the compass doesn't give accurate direction, but what a wonderful piece of Victorian history that someone would no doubt have treasured and worn regularly.
