Victorian 9ct gold paperclip link Albert/watch chain

A super chunky Albert chain made from solid 9ct gold paperclip links and chunky interlinking cable links. 

We've had this gorgeous chain refurbished, making the links thick and strong and giving it generations more wear. As part of the refurbishing process, we have applied a heavy 9ct gold plating (5 microns), bringing the colour up to an even, buttery yellow tone. 

With 2 fully functioning dog clips and a detachable T-bar, this chain can be worn various ways, making it versatile and better value for money.

Years of use have worn down some of the hallmarks, although many are still visible, including a date stamp for Birmingham 1886.

This piece now looks good as new and is a testament to how sustainable antique jewellery can be.
