Victorian 18ct gold, diamond & sapphire ring

The details in this ring are simply beautiful and so well preserved. Made from 18ct yellow gold, with a central sapphire, surrounded by 6 old cut diamonds, all in a stunning star design. The shoulders have hand carved detailing and the shank is the same width all way round.

Stamps include a maker's mark, the British gold standard, 18 and Birmingham assay. The date stamp has become illegible from wear but this ring is typical of the late Victorian era and so we date it circa 1900. All in such wonderful condition!
