Georgian high carat & turquoise slider
A very rare find and around 200 years old, this Georgian high carat slider is truly something to behold. Crafted in high carat (XRF tested as 20ct) yellow gold and richly decorated with hand worked filigree and granulation. The domed form is chased with fine circular tooling and embellished with applied rope twist and bead details, showcasing the exceptional level of craftsmanship typical of the Regency era. Vivid natural turquoise cabochons are set around the edge and contrast perfectly with the rich, buttery yellow gold.
Originally part of an incredibly ornate (and probably very large) necklace, this slider may well be the only part that still remains. Its incredibly generous size means it can be worn on a chain, ribbon, bracelet or however you please.
A stunning piece of jewellery, a collector's item and a beautifully preserved piece of Georgian history.
