Georgian 18ct gold & glass heart locket

A beautifully preserved piece of Georgian history (1714-1837) in the form of a locket, heart-shaped and made form buttery 18ct gold (XRF tested). The cannetille (fine wire work) is typical of the later end of that era and has remained in remarkable condition. 

The locket flips open from the front so you can put pictures or keepsakes inside. It's been cleverly designed to look like little birds and flowers surrounding the heart. Traditional symbols of love (chain not included)
