Early Victorian 18ct gold & garnet intaglio signet ring
A unique and stunning, early Victorian ring made from buttery 18ct gold (XRF tested) with a garnet intaglio. The bezel set intaglio is of a rampant lion and has 3 initials which look like they could be H R S.
So thoughtfully designed. The stone is set in a heptagon shield shape which is then mirrored in the angular design of the band. These contrast beautifully with the softer, floral engravings along the shoulders. The purple garnet and the buttery yellow gold complement each other perfcetly.
The bottom of the stone sits proud so we advise putting it on and taking it off upside down. This avoids the point running over your knuckle.
With some age related wear present, this ring is still in amazing shape and condition
