Antique sterling silver heart shaped fob

Fobs were generally worn attached to watch chains and each one was fairly unique to its owner . Many were personalised with initials, motifs, crests etc. and ranged from plain and simple to hugely extravagant. Today they make wonderful pendants.

This beautiful fob is made from solid silver, in the shape of a heart, with lots of fantastic detailing. Look closely and you'll see the attention to detail. Like how both sides have different shaped shields surrounded by different hand etched designs
