Antique silver Albert/watch chain
A lovely old Albert/watch chain made from solid, sterling silver. Each link stamped with the lion passant, a practice that just doesn't happen today. This is a single Albert chain, meaning it has a dog clip one end and a fixed T-bar the other. The links attached to the T-bar end have a jump ring part way up, which is not uncommon for these old chains since they were worn attached to a waistcoat rather than around the neck.
The large central ring is still in tact showing the date stamp for 1919 and the dog clip and T-bar show it was made by Henry Griffith & Sons of Birmingham, England.
A lovely old chain with all the details of its origins.
