Antique carnelian intaglio pendant

I love mixing old and new and this piece does just that. A beautiful old carnelian intaglio from circa 1830 in a new, buttery yellow, 18ct gold bezel setting with a tube bail.

The intaglio is a hand carved Cupid, flying over some grass, wings spread with bow and arrow in hand. It has some some signs of antique wear but overall is in lovely condition with a good amount of detail.

The bail can fit a narrow chain or clip onto a large bolt clasp (see pics) so it can be worn various ways. It has no hallmarks but has been XRF tested.
