Antique 9ct gold book locket

This is such a rare find...

Made from buttery yellow 9ct gold, with an 18ct gold bail, this Victorian locket is a book that opens to reveal a frame with its original beveled glass. Ornately decorated front and back and inside someone has scratched in a significant date of '25th Nov 1897'.

Not only would this look amazing on a chain and in a neck stack, but it can also hold the picture of a loved one close to your heart.

No hallmarks present but it has been XRF tested and confirmed 9ct gold and is in great working order.
