Antique 15ct gold & mixed gemstone horseshoe pendant

Victorians were obsessed with talismen and symbolism. Horseshoes featured heavily in their jewellery and we can’t get enough of them.

This beauty has been lovingly converted from an old brooch. Made from 15ct gold (XRF tested) with a mix of rubies, diamonds and sapphires. The gold is a buttery yellow colour, very much like 18ct gold, which suggests it’s been gilded in higher carat, like so many Victorian pieces were.

Some expected signs of wear and conversion, we think this piece looks amazing for its age. It's a generous size so it's bold enough to be worn alone but will equally look amazing in a stack!
